Luna Docs (referred to as “us” or “we”) is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy will help to explain what information we collect, how it is used, and how it is stored.
When you sign up to use our service you are required to provide an email address. This is used in order to authenticate users and provide access to our service. We also use the provided email address in order to communicate with our customers. We may occasionally send you maintenance or promotional materials via email. You can unsubscribe from the marketing and promotional materials at any time using the corresponding links in the emails.
Temporary cookies may be used to authenticate users or to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. No personally identifiable information is stored in cookies. We do not have access to any documents that you create or collaborate with on our platform.
We do have access to a limited amount of metadata including the IDs of the documents you have created, the creation/modification times of your documents, and which users you have shared your documents with. None of the contents (including titles) are accessible to us.
We do not include any third party tracking or analytics, but some analytics may be collected at the edge through our CDN provider.
Your communications with us, such as support requests, bug reports, or feature requests may be saved by our staff. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest to troubleshoot more efficiently and improve the quality of our service.
By default, Luna Docs does not keep permanent IP logs. However, IP logs may be kept temporarily to combat abuse and fraud, and your IP address may be retained permanently if you are engaged in activities that breach our terms and conditions (spamming, DDoS attacks against our infrastructure, brute force attacks, etc). The legal basis of this processing is our legitimate interest to protect our service against nefarious activities.
Subscribing to our paid services may require providing a credit card number. This information is processed and handled using third parties. We do not store any credit card numbers. In addition, we enable you to utilize Bitcoin as payment for services and process Bitcoin payments that we receive from you. We keep a record of the relevant Bitcoin transactions as it is used to determine your account balance. We are not a Bitcoin exchange, Bitcoin wallet, or a place to purchase or sell Bitcoin.
All servers used in connection with the provisioning of our service are located in Switzerland and provided by third party providers who are also based in Switzerland. We do not have physical access to the servers. Documents are always stored in encrypted format on disk. We do not possess the ability to decrypt any user-encrypted documents.
We do not have any advertising on our site. Any data that we do have will never be shared except under the circumstances described below.
Occasionally we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide user data we possess to the appropriate governmental authorities. We will only disclose this data upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation.
If a request is made for encrypted document content that we do not possess the ability to decrypt, the fully-encrypted document content may be turned over. If permitted by law, we will always contact a user first before any data disclosure.
Luna Docs may, from time to time, contest requests if there is a public interest in doing so. In such situations, we will not comply with the request until all legal or other remedies have been exhausted.
Since we don’t collect any data that can be used to track you, we currently do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Such changes, modifications, additions, or deletions shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, issuing an email to the email address listed by registered users and posting the revised Policy on this page. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to maintain a valid email address as a registered user, review this site and this Policy periodically, and to be aware of any modifications. Your continued use of the site after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Policy; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by the modified Policy.
